Graham John Frederick Jones

September 17, 1938 – August 22, 2025

Graham John Frederick Jones Friday August 22nd 2025

It is with deep sadness that the family of Graham John Frederick Jones announces his passing on August 22, 2025, in Burlington, Ontario, at the age of 86.
Graham was born on September 17, 1938, in Longlevens, England, to the late Edith (Lillian) Jones and Arthur (David) Jones. With a deep commitment to providing opportunity and security for those he loved, Graham immigrated to Canada from England in 1966 to build a better life for his family.
Graham was predeceased by his first wife, Patricia Anne Jones, with whom he shared 34 years of marriage, and by his second wife, Ann Patricia Jones, who passed away earlier this year, on April 22, 2025, after over 27 years together.
He is lovingly remembered by his children: Andrew Jones (Melinda), Katherine Cronier (Dave), and Kimberly Daines; and by his grandchildren: Kyle Daines (Jenny), Taylor Memorysmith (Dan), Cassandra Daines (Santiago), Morgan Memory (Anthony), Lillian Jones (Luke), Gwendolyn Jones, Hunter Cronier (Kaylin), and Chelsea Cronier. He is survived by his brother, Anthony Jones (Patricia), and will be fondly remembered by extended family and his many friends.

Graham was known for his kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family. A hardworking man throughout his life, he brought honesty, passion and energy to everything he did. As well as a successful career as a Professional Engineer, Graham was always involved in a hobby or activity that kept him busy and engaged. In retirement, he continued to stay active with his many hobbies and social activities — which included the Brit Club, sailing, listening to Jazz music with friends, collecting and repairing antique clocks, building toy trains, collecting antique banks, birding, watching the Blue Jays, and traveling whenever he had the chance.
He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
At the personal request of Graham, his cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to a memorial visitation to take place at Smith’s Funeral Home, Guelph Line Chapel, on Saturday September 6, 2025 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. A memorial service will then begin at 1 p.m., followed by a reception, all to be held at the funeral home.
