CARTWRIGHT, Sarah Cartwright
March 28, 2026
She passed away on March 28, 2026 at Chapman House, Owen Sound, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She was 45. Sarah was the loving wife of Darryl and proud mother to her three boys Owen (Ashlyn), Dylan (Tori) and Keenan (Claudia), who she loved like her own. She will be missed by her dog Knox.
Sarah Cartwright will be lovingly remembered by her father Dan Anstee, her brother Brian (Brooke), her nieces and nephews Sophie, Jake, Bella, Alex, Mia, Caleb, Tily and Hadley, her parents-in-law Bruce and Bonnie Cartwright, her brothers-in-law Mark Cartwright (Kate) and Ryan Cartwright (Marsha), her sister-in-law Laurie Auguste (Kerry), her best friend Sarah Trelford as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Sarah was predeceased by her mom Judi and her grandparents Norm and Bernice Cummings and Albert and Viola Anstee.
Sarah will be remembered as the heart of her family—a steady source of strength, love, and connection. A true warrior in every sense, she faced life with courage and grace, always putting others before herself. She had a rare gift for bringing people together, serving as the family’s organizer, the one who made sure no one was left behind and every moment was shared.
A bright light in the lives of all who knew her, Sarah’s warmth and kindness left a lasting impression. She was a friend to everyone she met, a genuine soul who carried no judgement and held no enemies—only compassion and understanding. Her love for her boys was the center of her world, and it showed in everything she did.
With deep roots and meaningful connections in Ingersoll, Saugeen Shores, and Walkerton, Sarah built a life grounded in community, care, and a passion for health and well-being. She will be remembered as an angel among us—someone whose love, strength, and spirit will continue to bring people together, even in her absence.
She lived like a magnificent comet- so bright and attractive to all, if but only for a moment in time.
Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Sarah’s life on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Walkerton. A time of remembrance will take place at 3:30.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff of Carepartners and Chapman house for taking such amazing care of Sarah.
