ABITONG, Deborah Abitong

It is with great sadness that the family of Debbie Abitong announces her sudden passing in North Bay at the age of 68.

Predeceased by her parents Agnes (nee Southwind) & Ernest Abitong.

Deborah Abitong will be lovingly remembered by her spouse of 31 years, Harold Nawash of Saugeen First Nation, and her children :

April Abitong (Ben), Amy Seim (Chad), Jason Kimewon and Nicole Abitong.

Debbie will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Jayden, Jase, Derek, Oliver, and Brayden

Predeceased by her grandson Adrien (2023).

Dear sister of Dolphus Gadabushie (Diane), Wilma (Clement), Jeffrey (Mandy), Ernestine Bob (Harvey), Lorna (Darren), Jonathan (Serina), Susan (Ross A), Judy, and predeceased by siblings Iris, Sylvia, Thelma, and twin sister Barbara.

Special daughter-in-law to the Barr & Klouman family.

Will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. Last but not least, Debbie will be deeply missed by her dogs Freddie and Pablo.

Debbie had a great love for Bingo, fishing, and her grandchildren.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Nurse Rachel, Dr Mathias, Dr Tuomi, Dr Dueck, and all of PSW’s that took such wonderful care of Debbie.

Visitation will take place at the New Community Centre, Sagamok, on Wednesday June 10th, at 4:00 p.m. Funeral service will be on Friday June 12th, also in the Community Centre at 11:30 a.m.

Interment to follow in the New Sagamok Cemetery.
