COLLINS, Margaret Collins
June 12, 1935 - April 28, 2026passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026. Born Margaret Lenore Bellmore on June 12, 1935, Margaret Collins was the daughter of the late Dennis (Dan) Bellmore and Olga Frances Gamble. Margaret was a woman whose life was defined by a tireless spirit of service and a gift for bringing people together. Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Edwin Joseph Collins. A professional cook by trade, she spent the latter part of her career at the Pinewood Inn, where her culinary talents were enjoyed by many. However, her passion for feeding people extended far beyond the workplace. As a dedicated member of the Order of the Royal Purple, she was a pillar of her community, always ready to “feed the masses” during times of both great joy and deep sorrow. Whether it was a local celebration or a time of community mourning, Margaret ensured everyone was cared for and nourished. Her commitment to helping others was also evident in her long-standing volunteer work with the Canadian Red Cross. For many years, she was a familiar and welcoming face at local blood clinics, serving faithfully for as long as she was able. Margaretβs legacy is one of selflessness, hard work, and a heart that was always open. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. As per Margaretβs wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Red Cross or the Canadian Royal Purple Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
