BENTLEY, Thomas George Bentley

Died peacefully on Tuesday June 16, 2026 at Barrie Manor at the age of 86. Tom of Stayner, loving father of Duane (Susan Madill). He will be missed by Susan’s children Tarah (Marco Bonsi) and Adam Madill and grandchildren Jake (Grace), Dan (Ashley), Alexis (Conner) and Aiden. Dear brother of Margert (the late Arnold White), Ruth (the late Whitey Scrannage) and Irene (the late Sam Butter). Tom will also be missed by his best friends Lawrence and Bev Kleinsmith, his neighbours and his many past customers. Tom operated Bentley’s Scrapyard. Thomas George Bentley was a beloved character of the community. He was a trapper, a hunter and a fisherman. He enjoyed many years at his trailer at Jacques Landing on the Nottawasaga River and the many friendships that brought. He was also a lifelong Maple Leafs and Blue Jays fan. Friends are invited to join his family at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Friday June 19, 2026 from 1 to 4 pm for visitation. Light refreshments will be available. No formal service will be held.
