ROBERTSON, Loretta Robertson

At Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Thursday June 11th, 2026, Loretta (“Letty”) Robertson of Chatham passed away at the age of 87. Cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Florence Zink.  Beloved wife of James for 63 years. Loving mother of David and Deb, Kevin and Jill, Alan and Michaela, and Scott and Heidi.  Proud grandmother of Matt and Erica, Brendan and Lisa, Sarah and Cody Grant, Thomas and Anna, Kyle, Charlie, Sydney, Olivia, and Hannah, and great grandmother of Claire, Addison, Rosie, Jude, and Teddy. Dear sister of Larry and Annette Zink. Predeceased by Claudia and William Wilcox, Don and Monica Zink, and Mary and Charlie Keech.  Cherished daughter-in-law of the late Charles and Ruth Robertson. Sister-in-law of Sharon (the late Len) Duchene, the late Lynn and John Kosik, and Joyce Robertson (the late Michael). Survived by her many nieces and nephews.

Letty dedicated the early years of her adult life to nursing, eventually stepping away from nursing to raise her family. She also volunteered at Blessed Sacrament elementary school and devoted many hours visiting family and friends, including ones in long-term care.

The family extends its sincere gratitude to Dr. Wheeler and the staff at Thamesview Health Clinic for the excellent care provided to Letty over the years. We also thank the staff at The Maples Retirement Living for their assistance and support during her time there. A special thanks to the nursing staff of the 3rd Floor Continuing Care (Palliative Care Unit) at CKHA for the compassion, kindness and support they provided to Letty and her family.

Family and friends are invited to Blessed Sacrament, 145 Victoria Ave, Chatham, on Tuesday June 16th, 2026, with visiting from 10 am to 11 am.  A memorial mass will follow at 11 am.  Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery.  Cremation will have taken place.  Arrangements entrusted to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington St. West, Chatham, 519-352-2710.
