STEVENSON, John Percival Stevenson
June 12, 1944 - July 22, 2026It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of John Percival Stevenson, on July 22, 2026, at the age of 82.
John will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 43 years, Elizabeth Stevenson (nΓ©e Firanczuk), his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Eva and Richard Sachs, his many nieces &
nephews as well as his extended family and many dear friends.
Born in Montreal, John later made Toronto his home, where he built a successful career as the founder of a commercial interior design business. He held a Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng.) and MBA and brought that combination of technical and business expertise to his work throughout his career.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, John had a lifelong passion for photography and giving back to his community. He was a dedicated member of the Etobicoke Camera Club and the Rotary Club of Toronto West, where he enjoyed sharing his talents, building lasting friendships, and making a positive difference.
The family is especially grateful that his love of photography meant he was always there to capture and document the most important moments in their lives – a gift they will treasure for years to come.
John will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, quiet strength, and willingness to help others. He touched the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy of integrity, compassion, and friendship.
The family extends its heartfelt thanks to John’s caregivers and friends for their kindness, support, and companionship during his final years.
A celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date.
