SHAUGHNESSY, Gordon James Shaughnessy

Passed away at Kingsway Lodge on June 11, 2026 at the age of 75.

Born on October 23, 1950 in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, son of the late Stewart and Janet (nee Wilson). Beloved husband of Sherry (nee LeCapelain), married June 30, 1973. Dear father of Colleen Shaughnessy-Wolfe (Michael) and Kevin (Karen Gormley). Beloved brother of Maureen Capstick, and brother-in-law of John Capstick, and uncle of Ryan (Lynne), Sandra, Kelly, Kamini and Meghan (Chris). Also surviving are his cherished grandchildren Declan and Maeve Shaughnessy and Jericho Wolfe.

Gordon James Shaughnessy enjoyed most sports, especially the sport of baseball. His sense of humour was contagious. Gord was a Kinsmen for over 30 years while in Stratford and St. Marys and was a devoted member within the organization.

Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. S. St. Marys, on Friday, June 19, 2026 for visitation from 10 am until the time of the Memorial Service at 11 am.
