MWAMBA, Shamma Ngandu Mwamba
May 23, 2002 - June 14, 2026
With deep sorrow, yet with faith in Godβs eternal promises, we announce the passing of Shamma Ngandu Mwamba, who entered into the presence of the Lord on June 14, 2026, at the age of 24.
Born on May 23, 2002, Shamma was the beloved son of Sylvain and Rose Ngandu and a cherished brother to Jemima, Keren, and Meta Ngandu. He was a loving son, devoted brother, loyal friend, and a source of joy and encouragement to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
From a very young age, Shamma displayed an extraordinary passion and gift for music. He began playing the drums at just five years old, and over the years developed remarkable talent across multiple instruments, including the bass guitar, drums, and keyboards. His musical abilities were not only impressive but inspiring, touching the lives of many through his dedication and creativity.
In recent years, he became especially known for his exceptional skill on the guitar and bass, using his gifts to glorify God and bless those around him. Through every note he played, he expressed excellence, passion, and a heart devoted to worship. In addition to his musical talents, Shamma was also trained in sound engineering, a field in which he excelled and through which he helped create meaningful worship and musical experiences for others.
As the founder and CEO of Sound of Heaven, his music production business reflected his vision, determination, and commitment to helping others through the power of music. His work touched lives, encouraged aspiring musicians, and left a lasting impact on his community.
Shamma was also a young man with great ambition and purpose. Alongside his passion for music, he had enrolled in studies to become a Financial Advisor, demonstrating his desire to build a bright future and make a positive difference in the lives of others. His dedication, discipline, and willingness to pursue excellence were evident in every area of his life.
Above all, Shamma was a man of faith. He loved the Lord and faithfully used his talents in service to Godβs kingdom. His gentle spirit, kindness, humility, and generous heart were evident in the way he cared for family, friends, and everyone he encountered. He had a unique ability to bring people together and create an atmosphere of joy, encouragement, and worship.
Though his time on earth was brief, his life was filled with purpose. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, creativity, service, and devotion that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Shamma will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his parents, Sylvain and Rose Ngandu; his sisters, Jemima, Keren, and Meta Ngandu; his extended family; countless friends; fellow musicians; church family; and all whose lives were touched by his presence.
While our hearts grieve his departure, we take comfort in the promise of Scripture:
βTo be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.β
β 2 Corinthians 5:8
Shammaβs song on earth may have come to an end, but his worship continues in the presence of the King. His memory will forever remain in our hearts until the day we are reunited in Christ.
Rest in the peace and presence of the Lord, Shamma.
Your melody lives on, and your legacy will never be forgotten.
