DENT, Merejean Dent

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Merejean Dent, who passed away peacefully at Morriston Nursing Home after a lengthy struggle with her health.

Merejean was predeceased by her husband, Paul Dent, in 1998, and by her brother, Tom Crone. She is lovingly remembered by her companion, Lloyd Filkin.

Cherished mother of Vicki (Brian), Doug (Monica), Jim (Liz), and Duane (Chriss). Proud grandmother of Shawn, Christopher, Declan, Emmett, Caleb, Ethan, Magen, Makayla, and Ceirra, and beloved great-grandmother of Ava-Lu, Chloe, and Emma.

Merejean is also survived by her sisters, Julie (Larry) Nunn, Sharon Bush (Ron †), and Marlene (Walter) Butler, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Though she faced many health challenges in recent years, Merejean’s love for her family remained unwavering. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness, strength, and caring spirit touched the lives of many. The memories she created and the love she shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 from 1 p.m., until the time of Memorial Service at 2 p.m. Reception to follow. For those unable to attend there is a live-stream link available under ‘Events’.
