STAVROU, Gregory Stavrou

He passed away peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre Victoria Hospital, on Friday, May 22, 2026. Born and raised in Piraeus, Greece on June 17, 1940, Gregoire Stavrou of Owen Sound was in his 86th year.

Beloved husband and best friend of Anastasia Stavrou for 59 years. Proud father of Achilles Stavrou, and Athena Stavrou, both of Owen Sound. Treasured grandfather of Christopher Latour of Owen Sound (son of Athena Stavrou of Owen Sound, and Rob Latour of Midland); and Gregory and Anastasia Stavrou of Toronto (children of Achilles Stavrou of Owen Sound, and Toula Anastasiadis of Toronto). Dear brother of Stylianos Stavrou and Evdoxia Stavrou of Greece; and siblings-in-law of Giorgos Sfalagakos, Panagioti and Maria Sarbanis of Greece. Gregory Stavrou will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Predeceased by his parents Achilles and Athena Stavrou; and his siblings Giorgos Stavrou, and Photini Stavrou.

In keeping with Gregory’s wishes, a private family service will be held. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
