MAZZE, Nancy Mazze

July 13, 1971 - July 1, 2026
MAZZE, Nancy Mazze

After a long battle with pancreatic cancer, Nancy passed in her 55th year on July 1, 2026. Her final moments were spent with her loving family by her side.

Nancy Mazze was the beloved wife to her husband and best friend, Joseph, for 33 years. The two had built a beautiful life and home together, demonstrating a deep and enduring love that prevailed, through good times and tough times, in sickness and in health. Their love set a strong example to her two children, Jessica and Jacob, who will deeply miss their mother.

Nancy is survived by her two parents, Fatima and Jaime Pacheco. She was a cherished sister to Nelson, Susy, David, Christina, and Daniel, and deeply loved by her sister and brother in-laws. As the oldest daughter of a large Portuguese family, Nancy was a proud aunt to her many nieces and nephews, including her nephew Hudson, who she is now reunited with.

Nancy was a proud homemaker, and a pillar to her family. She was the strongest of women, who would lend a willing ear and give advice to those around her, over cups of coffee. She took great pleasure in raising her children and appreciated every day she had with her loved ones. From spending Sundays at her parents house, to long drives up and down the escarpment with her children, to the Christmas Eve’s she held at her house, these were the memories she cherished.

Nancy is remembered as a woman with a kind heart and a fierce protector for those around her. She refused to live a life defined by her pain, and will always be remembered as a fighter who beat the odds of one of the toughest cancer diagnoses. Her family is immensely proud of her and the courageous fight she led, despite the odds she was given.

Although her family takes comfort in knowing that she is finally at peace, her laughter, warmth and the joy she created will be greatly missed. They are grateful for the time they had with her, and look forward to one day reuniting with their daughter, sister and aunt; his wife, and our mother.

Nancy was more than just these roles: ask anyone, and they will tell you she was their best friend. She will not just be remembered for what she did or offered, but for the beautiful soul she was, inside and out.
