WATSON, John Watson

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of John Watson. He passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on August 7, 2026, at the age of 85.

John lived a beautiful life filled with purpose, laughter, and kind-heartedness. He leaves behind Mary, his devoted wife and soulmate of over 49 years. He was the love of Mary’s life.

John also leaves behind a family that loved him deeply. He is predeceased by his parents William and Jeannie, 4 brother and five sisters.

John was a loving and caring brother, who leaves behind his sister Doris. Dear uncle to Scott, Stacey, Jaden, Rose, Gavin, Owen Ronan, and Kirsten in New Zealand. He will be deeply missed by all his family over seas.

John loved to golf, was an amazing cook, loved to garden and being in the outdoors. His favourite pastime was making memories with his loving family and friends.

John will be sadly missed. His kindness, devotion to those he loved, and caring spirit lit the world around him and will continue to be held dearly in the memories of those he touched throughout his life.

He will forever be loved and missed by all.
