It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 78.

Beloved husband of Lisa Veilleux (née Dumoulin). Loving father of Viviane Fauvelle (Lionel), Nathalie Godin (Stéphane), and the late Stéphane Veilleux. Stepfather of Irène Pelletier, Jeannine Pelletier, Suzanne Pelletier (Don) and Tammy Brazeau (Kevin). Cherished grandfather of Jessie Fauvelle (Denis), Jenna Doucet (Carey), Justin Rodrigue, Mélissa Bélanger, Mathieu Bélanger, Stéphanie Veilleux (Zachary), and Caleb Veilleux.

He will be greatly missed by numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves to mourn his siblings, Rose West (John), Aline Narbonne, Thérèse Henry (Conrad), Gilles Veilleux (Paula), and Pauline Froment (Fernand).

Godfroy was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Thérèse Veilleux.

He was a true music enthusiast, always with a guitar in hand, ready to share a melody or a chord. His music will always resonate in our hearts. A man of the forest, Godfroy forged his life within the lumber industry, working with passion and expertise.

Respecting his wishes, cremation will take place. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Lessard Stephens Funeral Home. Remembrance donations to Parkinson Canada would be greatly appreciated.
