Lenard Allen Campeau, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away suddenly on May 1, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on December 4, 1961, in Tecumseh, Ontario.
Lenard was the cherished son of Lawrence and Loretta Campeau (nee Quinlan). He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence, and his in-laws, Stanley and Marie Semperger. Lenard is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Mary Jane Campeau (Semperger), with whom he shared a remarkable bond since they were just 14 years old. Their love story is one of enduring partnership and mutual respect.
Lenard was the proud father of four wonderful sons: Andrew (Shayna), Daniel (Nicole), Alexander (Kaitlin), and Richard (Alyssa). His boys were the light of his life, and he took great joy in nurturing their interests and celebrating their achievements. Lenard was also a doting grandfather to his five grandchildren: Lucas, Liam, Adrien, Brook-lynn, and Thomas, who brought him immense joy and pride.
He is survived by his loving siblings: brothers Larry (Sherry) and Leo (Tina), and sisters Linda, Lucille (Willy), Laurie (Joe), and Lisa (Adam), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Lenard dedicated over 25 years of his life to his career as a pipe fitter at Eagle Press, where he was respected for his skill and work ethic. Outside of work, he enjoyed spending time outdoors, particularly fishing, which was a cherished hobby that allowed him to relax and connect with nature.
Known for his sense of humor, Lenard was a family man in every sense of the word. He had an incredible ability to light up a room with his laughter and always brought people together. His legacy is one of love, joy, and strong family values, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In honor of Lenard’s memory, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
