Born in Palo del Colle, Bari, Italy, on November 17, 1938, Vito Scarano passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025. He died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at Lakeridge Health Ajax Pickering Hospital. Beloved and devoted husband of Maria Scarano for 53 years, loving father of Frank (Paulina), Lino (Barbara), and Tony (Farnoush). Cherished nonno of Alexia, Vanessa, Xavier, Sabrina, and Sofia Maria.
He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, family, and friends in Canada, Italy, Germany, Belgium, and Venezuela whose lives he touched so dearly. Vito was a man of great strength, determination, compassion, and above all, a deep love of family. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth and devotion, and the memories, stories, and special moments he shared will be forever held in the hearts of all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McEachnie Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at 12:15 p.m.
