It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Artin Cesmeci on August 25, 2026 at the age of 90. Loving father to Lydia Cesmeci, Errol Cesmeci (John Krizan), and Dalida Tessier (nee. Cesmeci) (Robert Tessier). Cherished grandfather to his grandson Nathan Tessier. Reunited with his parents Lusin and Garabet Cesmeci. Artin is predeceased by his brothers Toros and Atam, and his sisters Agavni and Vartuhi. Artin is survived by his sister Markrit. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Born in Kayseri, Turkey, Artin immigrated to Canada in 1971 and settled in Windsor, Ontario, where he built a life of quiet purpose and steady work. He spent over four decades at General Motors, retiring after a career that began at the fish market and continued at Joe Muer’s seafood restaurant. A devoted member of St.John’s Armenian Church, Artin found his peace in faith, daily routine, and the simple art of cooking. He loved his workouts, loved his routine, and loved the quiet of a life well lived.
