
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Devoted husband of Ekaterini (Kathy) (née Margaritis), with whom he shared 61 wonderful years of marriage. Loving father of Chris (Susan) Stavridis, Sofia Stavridis (Dr. Pramod Puligandla), and John (Sandy) Stavridis. Cherished Pappou of Katerina (Jeffry), Kyriacos (Corina), Alexia (Caleb), Aramis (Stephanie), Evan, Sara, Alexander, and Lukas. Proud great-Pappou of Theodore, Elijah, Nikolas, and William. Dear brother of Fani (the late Nikos) Papastavrou. Predeceased by his beloved sisters Marika (Sergios) Andreou, Koula (Giouras) Diamanditis, and Nikoleta (Christos) Tsoumas. Brother-in-law of the late Kosta (Eleni) Margaritis, Mike (Chrisoula) Margaritis, and George (the late Becky) Margaritis, Marianna (the late John) Varverakis. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends in Canada, the United States, and Greece. Kyriacos was a longtime and devoted member of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church. He proudly served as an Officer in the Greek Military and carried with him throughout his life a deep love for his Greek heritage, family, and faith.The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at The Village of Aspen Lake, as well as the doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals at Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus, for the exceptional care and kindness they provided to Kyriacos and his family.
Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – South Chapel, 3048 Dougall Avenue (519-253-7236), on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Thrice Holy Hymn service will take place Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 3052 Walker Road, on Saturday, August 29, 2026, for the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Evangelos Aravantinos officiating. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society Windsor-Essex County would be appreciated by the family.
Kyriacos leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, faith, and family that will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
