Beverly Ann Britton (nee Whyte)

December 17, 1949 – November 24, 2024

Beverly Ann (Whyte) Britton went home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on November 24, 2024. Born on December 17, 1949, to Fred and Gladys (Gyatt) Whyte in Toronto, Bev was a true matriarch whose greatest joy and achievement was her close-knit family and her role as a caregiver to all who needed her.

Bev was the deeply loved mom of Dawna and Paul Jr./Paulie (Tricia), and cherished Nana Banana to Paul James/PJ (Liz), Jessie (Steve), Dallas, and Zachary (Emily). She was the proud Great Nana to Jaeden, Abel, Rhett, Callie, and Riley. A best friend and sister to Gail and Joyce (Joe), Bev was a special aunt to Jason, Faith, and Daniel.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Paul Sr., siblings Jack, Jimmy, Neil, Dawna, and her special nephew Joshua, Bev will also be sorely missed by extended family and friends, including Kevin, Greg, many nieces and nephews, and her foster children Sherry, Harvey, Shane, and Terry. She is predeceased by her foster son Chris.

Bev will always be remembered for her warmth, humor, and love of life, embodied by the six F’s she lived by: Faith, Family, Friends, Food, Fun, and Farts! Her infectious laughter and caring spirit will leave a lasting legacy.

A Celebration of Life will be planned after the winter months. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to The Robert Edward Schmidt Trust Fund / Lewy Body Dementia Research Fund in Bev’s memory.

The family extends special thanks to the staff at Hillsdale for their compassionate care. Bev’s family and friends find solace in the thought that, as Paul Sr. once said, “Don’t cry. I’m okay.”
