Walter “Wally” F. Klassen of St. Catharines, Ontario, passed away on September 19, 2026, at age 92.
He is survived by his son Randy; daughter Michelle and her husband Scott; grandchildren Ryan, Danielle, Taylor, Michael, and Matthew; great-grandchildren Kaedon, Colton, and Ciara; and siblings John and Sara. He was predeceased by his wife, Dean Kathryn; parents, Frank and Annie; and brothers Adolf and Menno.
Born in Winkler, Manitoba, Wally grew up in Beamsville, Ontario. His airline career began with Transair Airlines and later included Air Canada. He subsequently worked in the vacation travel industry before retiring to St. Catharines. He enjoyed horse racing, sports, fishing trips, and time with friends.
Cremation has taken place. He will be interred with his late wife in Winnipeg, and the family will hold a private service later.
