Peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Wednesday, April 7th, 2021 at 69 years of age.

Beloved husband and best friend of Maureen.

Dear stepfather to Troy Bramley (Lisa), Matthew Bramley and predeceased by Dyana Dearling (George).

Cherished Papa to Liam Montgomery, Brendan Bramley and Brydget Dearling.

Tom will be sadly missed by his sisters Brenda Marley (John), Karen Saxby (Debbie), his brother David Saxby and his many nieces, nephews and friends.

Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, with his wife and eldest son by his side, on Wednesday, April 7th, 2021 at the age of 89.

Beloved husband of Olive for 64 years.

NICHOLS, Ruth Elizabeth - (August 25th, 1952 - April 6th, 2021)

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ruth Elizabeth Nichols shares the news of her passing, peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on April 6, 2021 in her 69th year.  

Beloved daughter of the late Edward Malcolm Nichols and late Pamela Elizabeth Nichols (Rudd).

Johnny passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by his loving family, on April the 6th, 2021 in his 92nd year.

Beloved husband of Jean Harrison (nee McNaughton) for over 60 years.

Loved father of George (Bambi) of Brockville, Anne Dobos (Mike) of Port Hope, Margaret Bland (Craig) of Abbotsford, BC and John (Carrie) of Oshawa.

Survived by his brother, Ranald (Lilian) of Thorold, and sister, Verna Riordan (late Peter), of Oshawa, brother-in-law, Roger Wood of Ottawa and sister-in-law Maria Harrison (nee Papps) of Maxville.

 

Oerton AllanOERTON, Allan Ralph  -  Allan was welcomed with open arms into heaven on April 5th, 2021 at 84 years young. 

Anyone who knew Allan would agree that he was one of the kindest souls who cherished his family and friends. 

He devoted a large part of his life to helping others, retiring as a Principal from the Durham Catholic District School Board. 

He volunteered at the Oshawa General Hospital, school libraries, Extendicare Nursing Home and soup kitchens in the area, and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. 

Allan was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Bill Senior, and his brother, Bill Junior.  He leaves behind two nephews; Colin and Kevin, and a niece; Lisa. 

WITTEVEEN, Margaret McGlade (Martin) - Margaret (nee Martin), beloved wife of the late Benny Witteveen (d. 2002).

Loving mother to Susan (Dan) and Nancy (Peter) and the World’s Greatest Grandma to Charlie, Grace, Benjamin and Hannah, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.

John Michael Ferreira of Scarborough, Ontario (formerly of Georgetown, Guyana) passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. 

Predeceased by his parents Joseph Ferreira and Perpetua Ferreira (known as Mother).

Passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Monday, April 5th, 2021 at the age of 84 years. 

Beloved husband to Donna (nee Eaton). 

Dear father of Brady (Heather) Gibney, Daren Gibney, Jodi (Jerry) Leddy, and Mona Hood. 

Loving grandpa of Kacy (Dan), Gary (Amy), Richard, Maari (Miguel), Spencer, Jillian, Raegan (Christian), Madison and Sheridan and great-grandpa of Beauden & Emilia. 

Tom spent many years delivering the news, he was a trusted source and was greatly missed after his retirement. 

Following his successful career, Tom found another great job, driving for Ontario Motor Sales where he greeted many people with his friendly smile. 

McCONNELL, Margaret Jean   - Passed away suddenly on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Hope Street Terrace, Port Hope in her 87th year.

Beloved wife of the late Harvey McConnell. Cherished mother of Jim Sample (Joanne), Lilian Zych (Brian), Keith Gutkind (Robin), Carolyn Gutkind (Doug McNally), Norman Gutkind (Susan), & Kimberly Gutkind-Santos (Carlos).

BAINE, Norman   -  (May 23rd, 1931 April 5th, 2021)

Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville surrounded by his wife Sharon, on Monday April 5th, 2021 at the age of 83 years. 

Born in Peterborough, Nichols Hospital on November 9, 1937 to Herb & Ethel MaGee. 

Best friend, soulmate & beloved husband of Sharon MaGee (Acheson, nee Rocque). We were as connected as any two could be.

JARVIS, Dan - It is with deep sorrow and much love, we mourn the passing of Dan Jarvis of Oshawa at Haliburton hospital April 5th, 2021 at the age of 54.

Dan passed away peacefully with his wife Krys of 30 years, and his friends Lisa and Bill, by his side. 

KLATT, Shannon Lyn - Born March 7,1983 passed peacefully in her home in Oshawa, on April 4, 2021 at the age of 38 after a year long battle against cancer. 

Shannon was known for her kind and thoughtful spirit - she was always thinking of others and would go to great lengths to see a smile on someone's face. She loved going on trail walks and forest adventures, camping and geocaching with her children and nephews.

Walter was predeceased by his wife, Jean Marie (Topping) in 2005 and his daughter Barbara Jean (David Bailey) in 2020.

Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Saturday, April 3rd, 2021, in her 58th year.

Predeceased by her life partner, Daniel Ackles, and her parents Mary “Catherine” and Raymond Ford.

She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Glenn Ford, Joanne (Mike) Revoy and Jimmy Ford.

LaFleur Jo AnneLaFLEUR, Jo-Anne Dorothy  -  August 10th, 1944 - Saturday, April 3rd, 2021 

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jo-Anne Dorothy Lafleur on Saturday April 3, 2021 at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa at the age of 76.  

She was the beloved wife and best friend of Joseph Lafleur of 43 years, step-mother of Deena Lafleur (Chris) and cherished grandmother of Sophia Ambrosio. 

She is predeceased by her parents Alexandra and James Sullivan, her brothers Donald Sullivan and Robert Sullivan, niece Pamela and nephew Kevin.  

She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces Laurie, Linda, Janice, Stephanie and her nephews Brian and Glenn.

Jo-Anne will be dearly missed by many family, cousins and friends. 

WOJCIEL, Rowena Mary Wojciel   - May 16, 1932 – April 3, 2021

A courageous, generous, resilient, independent woman who was a warrior until the end.

Rowena was devoted to her daughters, Rose (Phil), Christine (predeceased), Lisa (Matthew) raising them independently in a time when this was rare.

As a young woman Rowena courageously took the long voyage from England to Canada to start a new life.

OTT, Rolf Otto Werner  -  August 27, 1933 - April 3, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rolf Otto Werner Ott on Saturday, April 3rd, 2021 in his 88th year.

Rolf spent his final days surrounded by the love of his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and his siblings.

Rolf was the eldest son of Werner and Carola Ott, born in Hamburg, Germany on August 27th, 1933.
