HOLTFORSTER, Joan Marie (nee Van den Bogaard) - May 1, 1932 – April 4, 2020
Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Saturday, April 4th, 2020.
Born in Lieshout, North Brabant, Holland, Joan immigrated to Canada in 1955.
For 50 years she was the beloved wife of Raymond (2006).
She was the loving mother of Franklin (Birgitte), Albert and Robert, and grandmother to Raymond, Charles and Douglas; Alec and Kirsten; and William and Philippa.
Joan is survived by her sister Trudy, and was predeceased by her siblings William, George, Tony, Helen, Mary, Albert and John.
She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family both in Canada and in the Netherlands.
A private family service will be held with interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
Arrangements entrusted to OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME .
Joan’s many years of assistance to those in need would be honoured by donations to the food bank at Simcoe Hall Settlement House.
