CREAGMILE, Dorothy  -  It is with sad hearts that the family of Dorothy Creagmile (nee McCausland) announces her passing on November 5, 2020 peacefully at Hillsdale Terraces in Oshawa in her 87th year.

She was the third of four daughters born to Alexander and Lucinda McCausland in Belfast, Northern Ireland on September 25, 1934.

While working at Nicholson and Morrow in Belfast, she met her husband John. They both moved to Toronto in 1955 and were married in 1956.

She will be remembered for her friendly, caring and outgoing personality; her love of socializing, entertaining, fashion, baking and gardening; and her total devotion to family.

When Dorothy wasn’t taking care of her family, she worked in retail women’s clothing sales which she loved because it allowed her to interact with people and keep up with all the latest styles.

Dorothy was always dressed beautifully and not a hair out of place!

Dorothy is predeceased by her husband John and leaves us to celebrate her life: Beloved children John (Rhonda) Creagmile and Stephen (Corinne) Creagmile.

Much loved grandchildren Brittnee (Cal) Auer, Jordan (Angela) Creagmile and Justine Creagmile. Adored great grandchildren Jayden, Rylie and Bryson Auer.

Treasured sister Valerie Murdoch (nee McCausland) and her family in Ireland.

Many thanks to the people who took loving care of Dorothy at Hillsdale Terraces in the Sugar Trail wing.

There will be no formal services, only a small gathering of immediate family members.

Donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region at alzheimer.ca/durham/..
