CLARKE, John Samuel Stanford Clarke   -  Passed away peacefully Sunday, February 13th with his wife and kids by his side.

He is survived by his wife Doreen, his brother Gerald and Sister Glenda, his sons Jonathan and Donald, his daughters Michelle, Earmie, Kathy and his very special daughter in-law Amanda.

He is predeceased by his Father John Clarke Sr., Mother Sadie, and sisters Ruth, Ellen, Marjory, Doris, Georgina, Bernice  and Phyllis.

He will be forever remembered by his grandchildren Jennifer, Daniel, DJ, Blake, Evan, Nathan and Talon as well as his great grandchildren Ayden and Logan.

John was born on November 22, 1940, in Belle Island, Newfoundland. He later moved to the mainland, spending time in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Eventually he found his way to Toronto, and with most of his family residing in the big city, he came to call it home.

This is where he met and married Doreen, with whom he shared 50 years of memories together.

He held those he loved, human and animal alike, close to his heart. The furbabies that will miss him are Chewie, Luna, Stella, Lucy, Odin and Callie.

The family would like to say a special thank-you to the staff and nurses at Lakeridge Ajax Pickering Hospital for taking care of John in his final days and the support they showed his family during this difficult time.

John will be missed by so many friends and family, and we hope you will join the family in celebrating his life and memory.

In lieu of flowers, those of you who are able to help during this time, we ask that you consider donating funds towards John's funeral.

We so appreciate those who have already donated, and will use these funds to honor all of John's final wishes.
