GILBERT, Barrett, Gilbert - It is with great sadness we announce that Gilbert William Barrett passed away peacefully on Friday February 18th 2022 in his 79th year.
He is predeceased by his parents John and Elsie Barrett and brother Roy.
Beloved husband to Debbie Barrett.
Loving father to his son John and daughters Lori and Tracy. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren John Thomas, Ruby, Barrett, Olivia and Jacob.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his brother Neil (Norma) and sisters Jean and Audrey (Lloyd), mother-in-law Joyce Whalen, sister-in-law Brenda (Sam) McCoy, Karen (James) Moore, brother-in-law John (Cheryl) Whalen.
He will also be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
Friends are invited to Legion Branch 606 (1555 Bayly Street, Pickering) On Friday February 25th, 2022 at 3 pm to celebrate the life of Gil. Visitation will be held at Accettone Funeral Home, Ajax, Ont., on Saturday February 26th, 2022 from 12 noon until the time of service in the chapel at 1 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or Legion branch 606 would be appreciated.
