BURT, Florence Therese (nee Duggan) - (December 12, 1929 - July 10, 2022)
Passed away suddenly at Scarborough Centenary Hospital at 92 years young.
Matriarch of the family, predeceased by her loving husband John (2019).
Loving mother to Margaret, Edmund (Rose), Christopher (Nancy) and predeceased by John Jr., and Louise Doherty. Mother-in-law to Melba and Brian. Cherished Grandma to Cheryl (Leo), Laura (Eric), Crystal (Andrew), Julie (Marty), Elise, Sean, Amanda, Johnathan, Theresa (Adam), Joshua, Kelsey, Karley (Andrew), Rebecca (Michael) and predeceased by grandson Johnny. Great- Grandma to Jacob (Kira), Josh (Haley), Cash, Jackson, Sonny, Alex, Jonnie, Lucas, and Harper.
Therese was a pioneer in the transportation of special needs individuals and groups in southern Ontario since 1967.
She was a founding member of the Adult Development Program with Community Living Toronto. She was also a part founding member of Toronto RIDE Seniors Transportation.
Arrangements are entrusted with the McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or Community Living Toronto would be appreciated by the family.
