Wilson HelenWILSON, Helen Ann   -  It is with great sadness the family of Helen Wilson announces her peaceful passing at Hillsdale Estates on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at the age of 92.

The beloved wife of the late Peter Wilson, who was the love of her life for 61 years.

Loving mother of devoted daughter, Debra, and loyal son-in-law, Rob Robertson, and son, Peter (Abbey) Wilson.  Cherished grandmother of Elisha and Ian.

Predeceased by sisters Nan Pare and Heather McGill.

Helen’s compassionate spirit was always evident in her daily life and dealings with her friends and family.

She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Her love was shared amongst all friends, family, and creatures alike, as seen by her passion and love for her cats.

Her creative abilities were displayed through her many crafts and talents, which were often shared among her church family.  Baking was one of her most special skills.

Her famous shortbread cookie recipe was inherited from her Scottish mother.

When she was not baking or crafting, Helen could be found tending the flowers in her garden with loving care.

Helen’s life was dedicated to raising her family and always put their needs first.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff at Hillsdale Estates, especially Primrose Path, for their wonderful care and support.

A service will be held a St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church 333 Rossland Rd., W. Oshawa on Friday May 12, 2023 at 12 pm.

Arrangements entrusted to McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558).

Donations in Helen’s memory to Alzheimer Society of Durham Region would be appreciated.
