Dowell KennethDOWELL, Kenneth Steven  - Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his friends and family on January 7, 2018 at 11:11am at the age of 54, following a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Ken will be forever missed by his sons Quinn and Logan, step-daughter Sarah Davey and their mother Beth Dowell.

Beloved son of Carol Dowell-Gurr and the late Ken Dowell Sr, loving brother to Karen Forrest (Ron) and dear uncle to Eric, Stephanie and Allyson.

Special friend to Rebecca Schumacher and best friend to Jim Burton.

Ken was an avid fisherman and an accomplished guitarist. He was devoted to his music, playing in many bands over the years including Yeseram, The Empty Cases and Void. Ken was most proud of the twelve-string acoustic guitar he built this past summer as well as the electric guitar he built when he was a teenager.

Ken will be fondly remembered by many friends, bandmates and coworkers at Atlantic Lifts. Special thanks to Elwood Ellis for all of his help and support during Ken’s illness.

No funeral service will be held as per Ken’s request; however, a Celebration of Life will be held in his honour in the near future.

Donations can be made to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada or Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre.
