MUIR, Susan Elaine (nee Hume) - Passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa at the age of 71.
Susan is survived by her husband Dennis Lemick and children, Bethany Muir and Kate Martin, her grandchildren Paige and Kennedy Martin and Ryan Keunen, who will forever remember their grandmother's feistiness and unwavering attention.
Susan was a teacher with the Durham District School Board for over 25 years, devoting her energies to engaging intermediate students in the science and french curriculum.
During her retirement, Susan nurtured her love of music learning to play the trumpet and joining a brass band.
She was an active member on the executive board of Retired Teachers Federation of Ontario.
Forever a weather geek and fan of old movies Susan will be remembered at a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 11 am - 2 pm at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY, 21 Garrard Rd., Whitby, 905-443-3376.
