Nada ZdravkovskiZDRAVKOVSKI, Nada Zdravkovski (Petrovski) Obituary - February 19, 1936 – September 5, 2024

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch Nada Zdravkovski, who left us peacefully on September 5, 2024 at the age of 88. Nada was a devoted wife to the love of her life, Nikola (Niko) for over 65 years.

She was a loving mother to Sonja Chamberlain (Douglas), Lydia Hartley (John) and Tyrone (Ty) Zdravko (Angela). She was a proud “Baba” to grandchildren Adam, Nickolas, Kristen, Peter, Lauren, Grace and Eden, and to her great-grandchildren Cadence, Colton and Theodore.

She nurtured her family with boundless love and wisdom, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever. We will always remember how she was the anchor and guiding star in our family; her family was her greatest source of pride and happiness; her 4 favourite things were her family, flowers, food and Facebook; she was deeply devout and taught us to pray; her greatest prayer was for the health and happiness of her family; she was a great cook but never used measurements; her house smelled of roasting peppers in the fall that felt like a warm hug; she loved Perry Como’s “For the Good Times”; she learned to become a pro Facebook user and sleuth at the age of 70; she took great pride in her beautiful garden; she would dismiss any crazy-talk by saying “vat you talking!”; she loved her afternoon soaps; she valued education, especially for girls, and was profoundly proud when we excelled academically; she dismissed self-pity with “dats OK”; she would announce it was time to leave with “lets we to go”; she was extremely generous with her family and her church; she loved her tiramisu, “chocolate chips cookies”, and Pizza Hut wings with extra sauce; she always wore slippers in the house; she always had time to listen and gave the best advice; we never left her house on an empty stomach; she always carried her trusty Coach purse with unsafe amounts of cash; her lucky number was “13”; she saved every report card, child’s drawing and greeting card; she made the best lentils, Shopska Salata, Zelnik and pork & rice dish; she kept an immaculate home because “Baba doesn’t like messes”; she was a trusted confidant and steadfastly on our side; she was a highly proficient video game bowler; she believed good luck came through hard work; she instilled in us the confidence to overcome any challenge and achieve any goal; she loved unconditionally and fiercely; she cared for her husband with loving patience; she addressed everyone as “sweetie”; at age 80 she had the flexibility that rivaled a 10 year old dancer; she was a fierce champion of her beloved Macedonia; she navigated life with quiet strength and dignity; she was not burdened with the weight of her illness but rather put it in the hands of God; she had the grace to give and receive love up until the very end; her name meant “Hope” in Macedonian; her favourite expression was “Love you to the moon and back”, and we do.

Nada’s legacy of kindness and selflessness will live in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered by all those who were blessed to have her in their lives. A private service will be held in her honor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Society in her memory.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, September 7th, 2024 from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00 pm at St. Nedela Macedonian Orthodox Church, 485 Bayly St. W., Ajax, ON. Interment at Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens.

Obituary of Jeff ElikELIK, Jeff Elik - May 24, 1962 – September 2, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Jeff, a beloved husband, Dad, son, brother and friend. Jeff passed on September 2, 2024 at the age of 62 with all his family and furbaby by his side. He was a man of significant strength, kindness and love. He lived by the values he cherished most – family, loyalty, honesty and integrity. Jeff’s passion for truck driving developed into a career of over 35 years, meeting people all over North America. His hard work touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was particularly fond of his extended family at Mosport (CTMP) who gave him the opportunity to continue talking to different people when he retired from truck driving.

He will be lovingly missed by his wife and best friend, Florence. Devoted and loving Dad of Cassandra (Daniel), Brittany (Steven) and his furbabies Mandy and Rupert. Cherished grandfather of Mason. Dear son of the late Bo and Jackie Elik.

Jeff will be sadly missed by his brothers Edward (Wendy) and Marty (Kelly), his sister Jessica and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
