ADI-SAATLOO, Biatris Adi-Saatloo

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Biatris Adi-Saatloo, who peacefully left us at the age of 97 on April 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Her legacy of unwavering love, kindness, and strength will forever live on in all who were touched by her life.

Born on July 1st, 1927, in Baghdad, Iraq, Biatris lived a long and fulfilling life, deeply devoted to her family and her Catholic faith. She was the foundation of her household, offering endless love, support, and guidance to her children – Doris, Hormoz, and Vahram – while her husband, George, worked abroad to provide for the family.

Her vision and strength shaped the future of her family. From purchasing their first home in Urmia, Iran, to moving her children for education, and finally encouraging their emigration to Canada, Biatris was a guiding force. In 1980, she urged Hormoz to seek a new life abroad, leading to their immigration to Canada in 1986.

A woman of deep faith, Biatris remained active in the Catholic community, supporting Christian families in Iran and later attending Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Mississauga and St. Matthew’s Parish in Oakville. Even in her later years, she recited the rosary daily despite dementia.

She is survived by her children Hormoz and Vahram, grandchildren Allen, Natalie, Nicole, and Vanessa, and great-grandchildren Owen, Arianna, Joshua, and Benjamin. She was predeceased by her husband George, children Nargis, Garnick, Doris, and granddaughter Esabella.

Visitation will be held at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home on May 9, 2025, from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Parish, 1150 Monks Passage, Oakville.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society at St. Matthew’s Parish.
