BACON, Doris Bacon

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Doris, a woman whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her. Doris passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Sunday April 5, 2026 at the age of 91.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Earl, with whom she shared a life filled with love and quiet devotion. Together, they built a home where everyone felt welcome, and their bond remains an enduring part of her story.

Doris Bacon will be lovingly remembered for the simple joys she brought into the world—especially through her baking. Her pies and butter tarts were more than just desserts; they were expressions of love, shared generously with family, friends, and anyone lucky enough to sit at her table. The kitchen was her happy place, and through it, she created lasting memories filled with comfort and sweetness.

Doris leaves behind her loving children: Neil (Cathy), David (Colleen), Larry (Christine), Murray (Debbie), Ivan (Kim), and Darlene. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to 15 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to 9 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy. Doris will be lovingly remembered by her sister and brothers, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

With a gentle spirit, a caring heart, and a gift for making everyone feel welcome, Doris leaves a legacy of kindness, generosity, and love that will never be forgotten.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered and has gone home to be with her Lord and Saviour!

Visitation will be held at Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street S., Uxbridge (905-852-3073) on Tuesday April 14, 2026 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Celebration of Life service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday April 15, 2026 at 2 p.m.  A reception will be held immediately following the service.
