Peacefully, on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Oshawa at age 75. His loving wife of 44 years, Barabara Taylor Bone, was at his side. Loved brother of Shirley Young (Peter), Roberta Baird (the late Hugh), Marilyn Gibney (Art), Beverly Adolphus (the late David), Christine Parulski (Frank), Daniel Bone (deceased) and his wife Susan. He was a fun-loving adored uncle to 19 nieces and nephews (plus many great-nieces and great-nephews) who listened and laughed to his endless stories. Dear son of the late Robert and Thelma Bone.

Known as Wally, Wug, Walter and Uncle Walter, he was born December 22, 1949 in Stouffville, raised in Mount Albert, and resided in Port Perry, where he retired from his many varied careers. He enjoyed camping and boating with family and his many friends who also mourn the too-soon passing of their lively, spirited, cheerful buddy. Walter was a talented singer and generously shared his musical gifts throughout his life, singing in choirs, a quartet, and solos at weddings, funerals and other events. He contributed his beautiful tenor voice to the County Town Singers, the Scugog Choral Society, and the Port Perry United Church Choir.  Family, friends, music and good food- preferably all together! – kindled Walter’s happiness and he radiated his joy to everyone. He will be sorely missed.

The family of Walter Bone will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Tuesday, June 17^th 2025 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held at the Port Perry United Church, 294 Queen Street in Port Perry on Wednesday, June 18^th, 2025 at 2 p.m.
