BUTCHERS, James Edward Butchers

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jim, who passed away peacefully, yet unexpectedly, at Hamilton General Hospital on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the age of 74.

James Edward Butchers was the beloved husband of Ruby (née Lofthouse), a devoted father to John, and was predeceased by his son Jamie, whom he held close in his heart. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Lily Rose, who brought him endless joy. Jim will be dearly missed by his sisters, Ann Simpson and Sue Young, as well as by all who knew and loved him.

In keeping with Jim’s wishes, a private cremation has taken place. He will be laid to rest at Burlington Memorial Gardens at a later date.
