Donald Edward Campbell, 82, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025. Don was a renowned economist, professor, and author. He is now reunited with the love of his life and wife of nearly sixty years, Diane. Despite his celebrated academic career, Don’s deepest joy came from his family. He was a devoted father to Samantha and Jordan, and the cherished grandfather of Soren, Rosie, Edie, Maggie, and Andre. He also adored his son-in-law, Tyler Cowie, and honorary daughter, Dana Cowie.
Don was the proud elder brother to Rob Campbell, Nancy (Campbell) Moore, and Cathy (Philpotts) Burrill. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Jeremy, Tom, Kerri, Christopher, Laurie, and Leo. The family mourns the loss of a calm, gentle, and humble man who lived his life in service and quiet celebration of others.
Though his absence is deeply felt, comfort is found in knowing he is once again with his beloved Diane. His legacy of love, intellect, and faith remains an enduring gift to all who knew him.
