It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved father on September 3, 2025 at the age of 67. Born in Brașov, Romania, he made Canada his home 20 years ago.
He was a devoted brother, husband, father, grandfather, and a dear friend to many. Always ready to help and support those around him, he touched many lives with his kindness and generosity.
We will deeply miss his humor, his curiosity, and his endless ability to tinker and fix things. His presence brought light and comfort to us all.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, September 7 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant St. (one block North of City Hall). Funeral Prayers will take place in the chapel on Monday, September 8 at 1 p.m.. with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. A livestream link will be available below for the service.
