It is with broken hearts that the family of Giuseppina Fargiorgio announce her passing at the age of 84. Beloved wife of Quirino for 63 years; loving Mama to Marie (Eric), Rose (Bob), and Patty; cherished Nonna to Amanda (Justin), Christina (Brandon), Paige, Madelyn (Jack), and Noah (Jessica); and adored Super-Nonna to great-grandchildren Addison and Julian.
Giuseppina is survived by her sister Giovanna in Australia, along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She is predeceased by her parents Vincenzo and Maria Civita, brothers Pasquale, Pietro, and sister Giulia in Italy.
Born in Itri, Italy, she came to Canada at 27 with her young family, embracing a life of hard work, love, and devotion. She balanced full-time work with exceptional care for her family and home. Her letters to Italy and Australia were heartfelt connections to those far away, and her joys included sewing, crocheting, gardening, and—above all—being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to visit Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 5:00–8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at Milton Evergreen Cemetery.
In her memory, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or Urban Tails Animal Rescue are appreciated. Her warmth, generosity, and incredible cooking will never be forgotten.
