Margaret Sheila Flood

November 6, 1933 – June 4, 2025

Sheila Flood passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025, at Lakeridge Health Ajax/Pickering Hospital, at the age of 91. Sheila has been reunited with her beloved husband Anthony “Tony” Joseph Flood, her loving and devoted partner in life for 65 wonderful years.

Originally from St. Helens, Lancashire, England, Sheila and Tony embarked on an adventurous journey with their two young sons, moving to Sweden in 1969 before settling in Canada in 1972. They built a beautiful life in Burlington, Ontario surrounded by dear friends and family, cherishing every moment of their journey together.

Sheila is lovingly remembered by her devoted sons, Martin (Leslie Junkin) and Colin (Sharon), and her cherished granddaughters, Samantha and Christina (Tricia). She will be deeply missed by her nieces, Andrea O’Leary and Joanne (Simon) Barton, as well as her grandnieces and grandnephews, James O’Leary, Callum O’Leary, Lucy Barton, and Edward Barton. She was predeceased by her husband, the love of her life, Anthony Joseph Flood and her parents, William and Mary Jane Sheridan (née Anders).

Sheila’s warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit touched the lives of everyone she met. Her memory and her wonderful smiles will be treasured always.

Heartfelt gratitude is extended to the compassionate staff at Parkland Ajax retirement home for their care and support, ensuring Sheila lived her best life in her final years.
