Paula Ann Francis

Paula was the loving and cherished mother of Laura (Mark) and Darlene (Murray), and although her children Christine and Billy journeyed ahead of her, they were never far from her heart. Christine’s husband Keith, continued to be a much-loved part of Paula’s family.

She was the proud “GMa” of Mike, Barb, Tina, Ryan, Heidi, Cole, Hailey, Megan, and Matthew. She was also the proud “GiGi” of Arwen, Xavier, Brock, Indy, Jensen, Bellamy, Stella, and Leo.

Tina, who grew up as part of the family, held a special place in Paula’s heart—as a bonus daughter and cherished lifelong friend.

Paula was a caring sister to Beverley (Ken) and Mackie, and predeceased by her sister Nancy, sister-in-law Linda, and brother-in-law Chris. She was much-loved Auntie Paula to Grant, Roy (predeceased), Steven, David, Dawn, Jon, Bobby, Kim, Josh, and their families.

Though she lost her first husband, George, far too soon, Paula was later blessed with a long and meaningful partnership with Laverne that brought love to her life in the years that followed.

She will be deeply missed by her beloved companion and travelling partner Fred; her dear friends and neighbours Pat and Kevin; and by those who fondly referred to her as “Momma”, along with the many friends of her grandchildren who lovingly adopted her as their bonus GMa.

She will be remembered always for her strength, resilience, her famous Christmas tins, and the way she made everyone feel like family.
