It is with deep sorrow and immense love that we announce the passing of Brigitte Vandenberg, who left us on July 29th, 2025 at the age of 98. She was born (Brigitte Rosa Horneman) in Charlottenburg, Germany in 1927, daughter of Betty Adams and Adolph Horneman.
She leaves behind her children, Robert, Sidney, and Betty-Linda, and her grandchildren, Rebecca, Brent, Curtis and Jessica; as well as her great grandchildren. She will also be missed dearly by Deborah Vandenberg, Cheryl Vandenberg, Sean Lloyd and Judy Vandenberg, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
She passed away peacefully on July 29th at the Brant Center in Burlington, and will be joining her late husband George Vandenberg, Clinton Vandenberg, her parents, brother and all her loved ones.
Though we mourn her loss deeply, we also celebrate the life she lived and the love she gave. Her presence will forever echo in our lives and her spirit will always guide us.
Immense gratitude to Dr. Singh, all the nurses, personal support workers, staff and volunteers at Brant Center who lovingly cared for her.
In lieu of flowers, her wish is that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
