Joanne Marie Ludwig, of St. Catharines, Ontario, passed away on October 7, 2026 at the age of 65.

Jo was born on March 8, 1961 in Toronto. She was predeceased by her father, Fred Shriner, mother, Betty Ludwig, adopted father, Ken Ludwig, and brother, Gerry.

Jo will be greatly missed by her sister, Marie (Jim), niece, Nikole (Vince), nephew, Wesley (Heather), as well as special Auntie to Delilah.

After graduating from Grantham High School where she made lifelong friends with the “Grantham Girls”, Jo worked at General Motors for 30 years.

Along the way, she developed a deep, long-lasting bond with the “Wednesday Group” where she was affectionately known as “The Boss”.

Jo lived her life to the fullest by travelling, playing golf, baseball and volleyball. She truly enjoyed soaking up the sun and swimming so much so that she was known for wearing shorts all year round.

She devoted her life to being the best Aunt with sleepovers, golf tournaments, bowling, trick-or-treating and always being there.

Jo fought valiantly over the last 10 months supported by Marie, Jim, and all of her friends and family who came to her side.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Niagara Children’s Centre.
