Passed away at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the age of 95. Will be deeply missed by her children, Tom (Wendy), Jill, Suzan and Judy (Mark). Loving grandmother to Kelly (Mike), Stephanie (Caleb), Corey (Ella), Shea, Jesse (Ying), Megan, James, Ruby, Ava, and Davis. Fondly remembered by great grandchildren Winter, Kes, Kyra, Lennox, Ever, Chase and Levi.

Maxine was a dance instructor at Arthur Murray and always loved to dance. She loved music, especially Nat King Cole, and she and her husband Tom attended many concerts together. She also enjoyed travelling and was able to go on many trips with her husband and occasionally with friends as well. Maxine had a great sense of humour and loved to laugh. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family and cherished those relationships. Maxine is predeceased by her husband Tom (d. 2019).

The family would like to thank the medical staff, especially on 3 North, at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital for their excellent care of Maxine.

There will be a memorial Gathering at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Monday June 30, 2025 from 3–5pm. Cremation has taken place. If desired, contributions to the Salvation Army can be made in Maxine’s memory.
