Rodney Charles Johnston, born in Burks Falls, Ontario, passed away peacefully at his home in Jordan on June 3, 2025.

Rodney was the beloved son of the late Ofi Onus and Mary Ellen (Harkness) Johnston. He is predeceased by his brother Lloyd, and lovingly remembered by his brother Garry (Barbara), his devoted wife Susan (Ledwick), his son Nicholas Charles Johnston, daughter-in-law Abby Ramos, and adored grandson Dante Charles.

Rodney dedicated 33 years of service to CN Rail in Signals and Communications. He was known for his genuine ability to connect with people and make strangers feel like friends. In retirement, Rodney embraced photography, cooking, baking, and volunteer work.

A passionate traveler, Rodney shared many adventures with Susan, whether crossing the Atlantic or cruising across Canada in his cherished Nissan sports car. Known for his quick wit and ‘dad jokes,’ Rodney will be remembered for the warmth, joy, and friendship he brought to everyone around him.

Memorial Service:
Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM
Location: Tallman Funeral Home, 3277 King Street, Vineland, Ontario
