With family by his side, Arthur Aaron Jordan (née Iancu) passed away peacefully at the age of 89 in his home on August 19, 2025. Unwaveringly warm, kind, and gentle, Arthur was a devoted husband of 66 years to Helen, a loving father to Sharon and Mitchell, father-in-law to Frank and Suzanne, and Zeidy to Matthew, Adam, and Hannah Jordan, Sam & Emily and Amanda Milner.
Arthur was born in the small town of Iasi, Romania, the son of Mina and Mendel Iancu. He boarded a ship to Canada at the age of 16, and with quiet determination built a life as a furrier.
Arthur and Helen were inseparable: partners in golf, bridge, Canasta, and tennis. He lived to the fullest until his final days, and never wavered in making soups, trying new restaurants, organizing pickleball leagues, and spending time with loved ones.
He will be fondly remembered by his communities in Thornhill, Toronto, and Pembroke Pines.
Memorial donations may be made to the Association for the Soldiers of Israel – Canada or to the Israel Cancer Research Fund.
