LEROUX, Bernard Michel “Bernie” Leroux

It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Bernard “Bernie” M. Leroux, on July 19, 2026, at the age of 79. Bernie passed away peacefully at Carefor Cornwall Hospice with his family by his side.
He leaves behind his loving children, Shelley Leroux, Travis Leroux (Tracy), and the late Shawn Leroux, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Blaise Leroux (Brianne), Jenna Leroux-Harquail (Nathaniel), and Teagan Leroux, who will forever treasure their memories of him.
Bernard “Bernie” was the son of the late Joseph Arthur and Louise Anna Leroux (née-Murphy). Youngest brother to the late Jacqueline (late – Steve Arsenault), the late Donald (late – Rose) Leroux, the late Gerald (late – Darlene) Leroux, the late Roy (Theresa) Leroux, Norma (late – Lionel Brisson), Georges (Sandra) Leroux, and Allan (Stella) Leroux. He will be remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Cherished companion of the late Claudette Leclair and her family. Special mention to her nephew, Bernie’s chosen nephew, Daniel Levac, whose unwavering friendship and support were deeply appreciated.
Bernie’s lifetime career was in grocery retail with the Dominion Store and A&P Store until his retirement. He will be fondly remembered for his exceptional cooking and baking skills. His pastimes were filled with gardening and going fishing with friends.
The family extends its sincere gratitude to the compassionate staff at Bayshore Home Heath as well as Carefor Cornwall Hospice for the exceptional care and comfort they provided to Bernie and his loved ones during his final days.
Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, Ontario. Cremation has taken place. A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date, with details to be announced.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Carefor Cornwall Hospice or The Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated in Bernie’s memory.
