Passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital, on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the age of 95.
Fernanda is reunited with her late husband, Francisco “Frank”. Loving mother to Jose (Diane Blanchette-Duarte) and Maria Lucilia da Silva (Jose Antonio). Cherished grandmother of Stephanie Duarte-Smith (Todd), Sophie Woodill (Bryan), Ana Cristina da Silva and Susana da Silva. Proud great-grandmother of Guilherme, Juana, Lucie, Oliver, Levi and Zoe. Dear sister of Carlos. Fernanda was predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Carolina, and her siblings, Amalia, Hipolito, Adelino and Jose.
Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Thursday, September 11th, 2025 from 3:00-5:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m., where the Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, September 12th, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to Joseph Brant Hospital would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
