OFTEZ, Gheorghe Dumitru Oftez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gheorghe Dumitru Oftez, who passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026, at the age of 77.

Beloved husband of Anca Oftez (née Vasilescu). Loving father of Raluca (Manuel) and Ruxandra (Niculae). Cherished grandfather of Andreea, Julia, Alexandra, Nicholas ,Emily, Nicole and Johny and great grandfather to Jayson, Bryana, Amarise, Aryana, Victoria, Anastasia and Alara. Dear brother of Laurențiu and brother-in-law of Anca. Gheorghe will be sadly missed by his extended family and many friends, and he will never be forgotten.

Visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel), 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E., Windsor, on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with prayers at 7:00 p.m. officiated by Fr. George Sandulescu. A graveside service will take place on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Simon & St. Jude Cemetery, Belle River.
