Peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital with his family at his side, Karl Olsen passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Beloved husband of Lisa for 26 years and loving father to Erik and Branden. Karl was predeceased by his parents Hans and Sheila Olsen. He will be deeply missed by his brother Bjorn Olsen and his sister Erna St. Amand (Bob), his mother-in-law Shirley Cheek (late Tom), brothers-in-law Tom Cheek (Lisa) and Jeff Cheek (Amanda), nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, colleagues, and their dog Zoey.
Karl grew up in the Toronto area and loved spending time at the family cottage. An outdoor enthusiast, he was a member of The Bruce Trail Club and enjoyed hiking and nature. A true jack of all trades, Karl could fix anything. He enjoyed movies, washing his car, and cheering on his sons at the hockey rink and baseball diamond. He worked for IKEA as a Construction Project Manager for the past 13 years.
In accordance with Karl’s wishes, cremation has already taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Olsens’ house.
