RICHES, William “Bill” Arthur Riches

July 13, 1955 - July 22, 2026

With love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of William “Bill” Riches—a devoted father to Devin (Denise) Riches, Miranda Jensen, and Stephanie (Steve) Timmons, and a proud Papa to Tyler, Caleb, Stephen, Nicholas, Abagail, Grace, Thomas, Samantha, Felicity, and Dechlan.

Bill was a man of remarkable strength, and a true fighter who faced every challenge with courage. He found great joy in his family, cherished every moment with his grandchildren, and touched many lives through his kindness.

He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings John Riches, Diane Teefy (Michael), Joe Riches, and Audrey Bergsma (Harold), as well as by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Arthur and Peggy Riches.

Though he will be deeply missed, we find comfort knowing he is at peace, free from pain.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home (2241 New Street, Burlington) on Saturday, August 22, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Family and friends who had the pleasure of knowing Bill are warmly invited to attend and honour his memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations in Bill’s memory to Arbour Creek Care Centre (2717 King Street East, Hamilton, ON L8G 1J3).
