John passed away peacefully at Oak Terrace in Orillia on June 2, 2025, in his 88th year.
Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Catherine Sellick, and his sister Carole Sellick Kennedy.
Survived by his brother David Sellick (Maureen).
Beloved husband, best friend, and life partner to Sharon Sellick. Loving father of Dawn Smith (Mike) and Hazel Sellick.
Cherished grandfather to Devon Porte, Lee Porte, Landen Sellick, and Austin Smith.
Great-grandfather to Catherine Porte and Sariah Porte. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.
John had a great love for music—from his days playing bass guitar with his band “Johnny and the Jays” to performing in his church band.
He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
A celebration of John’s life will be held at a future date.
